2022 Young Women’s Conference will be Virtual
The Young Women’s Conference in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics introduces middle-school and high-school-aged girls (in 7th through 10th grades) to women scientists and engineers and the wide breadth of careers available to them in these fields. Prominent women scientists and engineers from around the region spend the day with the girls in a variety of formats that includes small-group presentations, hands-on activities, a keynote address, and a chemistry demo.
A silver lining in our current virtual environment is that remote is the way to go! What does that mean for us? As long as we are online, we don't have to stick to the 10/20 student limit of attendees! We will be able to invite many more 7th-10th grade young women to attend our event!
